A Stone Building In Oakman, GA09-04-2006Our visit to oakman was a quick one. It's a very small town. There happened to be a bluegrass fesitval in town. It was being held at a local school. When we drove past we got a menacing look from one of the locals. I guess it was invitation only. The road in the area was long, straight an flat, but there were nice mountains to either side of us. There wasn't really a main street in this town. It was really just this post office. Across from the Post Office was a dilapidated old building. Next to the post office, there was this stone building. It appeared to be some sort of store, but we couldn't see a sign. A little outside the main drag we found this interesting looking overgrown shack.
