Waleska appears to be primarily a college town. Reinhardt college seems to
be most of the town. Aside from the college, there isn't a whole lot.
It was really just a few gas stations, a cafe, and a couple of shops. Still,
it was the biggest town we had been too all day (before we got to Canton).
The Funk Heritage Center is located here. It specializes in the history
of Appalachian Settlers and Southeastern Indians. It's part of the college.
There was this nice looking cafe in the town, but it was closed for
Labor Day. I played around in photoshop with this one a bit to give it
the look of a really old photo.
This store looked kind of interesting too. Again I played around a bit
with photoshop.
This gift shop in the town had
lots of stuff for Cat Lovers. Jeannemarie really wanted to go in, but
it was also closed for Labor Day, so we just looked through the windows.
